Aldebaran Contracting’s head office is located 60km out of Darwin, remote works are completed across the Northern Territory on a 3/1 roster.

Remuneration is based on a flat rate and experience.

Serviceperson on 3:1 Roster – Maningrida

Perform Serviceperson duties onsite to ensure our equipment is properly maintained at all times.

The successful applicant/s will need to hold the following:

  • Demonstrated understanding of maintenance / operational requirements of plant and equipment
  • Ability to complete inspections and scheduled servicing and maintenance on a wide range of trucks and earth moving equipment. Some of the brands in our fleet include CAT, Hitachi, Iveco, Kenworth, Kleemann, Komatsu, Kubota and Terex.
  • Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
  • Current HR license
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively both whilst working unsupervised and as a part of a team
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to comply with Workplace Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental legislation and plan requirements
  • Able to follow precise instructions
  • Basic reading and writing skills, including the ability to fill in forms and documentation
  • Good communication skills
  • Punctual and reliable approach to work hours.
  • Willingness and ability to work away from home, in a work camp situation.

Truck Driver (Rigid, Semi’s, B Doubles, Doubles and Triples) on 3:1 Roster

Transport heavy vehicles and material to and from Sites.

The successful applicant/s will need to hold the following:

  • Appropriate licence (Minimum HR), and relevant “in traffic” experience
  • Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
  • Experience in operating heavy vehicles including Rigid, Semi’s, B Doubles, Doubles and Triples and/or other nominated vehicles
  • Appropriate plant operating competency certificates
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively while unsupervised and as a team member
  • Strong knoweldge of maintenance / operational requirements of plant and equipment and willingness to undertake minor maintenance activities and replacement of consumables
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to comply with Workplace Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental legislation and plan requirements
  • Punctual and reliable approach to work hours
  • Able to follow precise instructions
  • Basic reading and writing skills, including the ability to fill in forms and documentation
  • Ability and willingness to competently operate technology such as GPS, tablets and smart phones for work-related purposes
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to work away from home, in a work camp situation.

 

Civil Apprentice on 3:1 Roster

Acquire skills through on the job training and VET study and apply those skills by assisting in Civil Construction activities. Assist in the operation and maintenance of plant and equipment, including grader, excavators, loaders, rollers, water truck and backhoes in a safe and efficient manner.

The successful applicant/s will need to hold the following:

  • Strong desire to learn and develop skills in operating Plant and other Civil Construction equipment
  • Willing to work remotely on a 3 on, 1 off roster
  • Industry Construction White Card
  • NT Driver’s License
  • Aptitude in use of hand tools, power tools and other equipment
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Assist in day to day requirements of the worksite and camps including cleaning machinery, etc
  • Ability to work effectively as a part of a team, and maintain a positive and enthusiastic approach under times of pressure
  • Willingness and ability to work in compliance with applicable Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation/regulations.
  • Willingness and ability to complete relevant trade qualifications in a timely manner.
